On Tuesday morning after flag ceremony, I have planned from a week ago to join Teacher Prim to go to the temple (Wat Si Don Chai Pa Tung Ngam) and he is fine about it. And I also asked his permission to invite Anas to come to join us and he accept it. Teacher Prim is very nice and friendly. I like to talk to him. He can speak english well. There were a lot we talked about last weekend. I never think that I really comfortable talk to him. He said that we would go to the temple of buddhist and there were shown about heaven and hell for buddhist. And I really excited about it.

It’s my first time to celebrating Idul Adha in another country, and became minority. Felt so sad because I could not celebrate it with my family. Usually my family would gather together to pray (sholat) and then cooked satay to eat together the meat. But, here in Chiang Mai there was not any qurban (cutting meat). But, It’s okay. Because I still can pray at the mosque near the university. We walked early in the morning to reach the mosque. I saw many muslim there. And we started to pray at 7.30 am.

Only three of us who came to the mosque because the other girls were having period.

Everybody from the mosque after pray was given this bowl of noodles, we also got a glass of water, a bottle of water, and ice cream.
Feel blessed and happy for it. This is an unforgettable moments in Thailand.

This was on friday, last day of school because tomorrow is weekend. And the school is off for two days plus one more day for mother’s day. So, it will be a long weekend.

I heard that the queen likes light blue color. I’m sorry, I hope someday I can go back to Thailand to celebrate the queen’s birthday properly:)
Happy Mother’s Day

Felt so comfy to be in class while observing. Did not need to worry because all the facilities i think i can teach well. I hope so.
Monday was always like hell, it all starts in Monday. My first Monday in Chiang Mai was not that bad. It was pretty good, though. Miss Arry has told us to come to her office early at 11 a.m and after that about at 2 p.m we have orientation. We brought our passport and came to miss arry office and met one of her student. Her name is Tonzon. She will also join sea teacher to Indonesia in Medan, she left on 11th august. We collected our passport and gave it to her. She led us around the campus. And it was raining, we had bought our umbrella and used it together.

After that we continued to the meeting room. Miss Arry and all the school’s representative were there. We got a chance to introduce ourself one by one. And i am the first one to speak, i felt really nervous:( and excited.

Feel so glad and proud of myself that i can reach Thailand through this programme. I hope i can finish it well. Still long way to go, keep the spirit!
It was pretty hard to find halal food in Chiang Mai. Luckily friends who join sea teacher brought many frozen foods. And they with their kind hearted share their food together. So, for a short time we decided to bought rice in the local market near the campus. Oh, I almost forgot to mention about the kitchen. We can use the kitchen freely, there is a rice cooker, big fridge, microwave, stoves, two sinks, and some kitchen equipments.

In the first week, we cook rice and heat up the frozen food’s everyone brought. We always ate at one of us’ room and ate together. One plate can be use for two until three people.
Although it was a little bit risky to find halal food here, i still felt blessed because i can buy raw materials from market like vegetables or eggs to cook in the dorm. Or buy halal food at seven eleven although maybe the price is a little bit different from in the market. The different was around 5baht or more only but it was nearer.
And I believe in every situation, even the hardest situation there is still a way to solve it. So, keep strong and believe in your self that you can do it!
There is still 27 days awaiting!
Arrived at Chiang Mai International Airport, my eyes caught on signboard written ‘Chiang Mai Rajabhat University’ then I saw two young girls that I knew they were Miss Arry’s students. My other two friends still searching their luggage while I was ready to got a rest at the campus dorm. I felt really tired and needed sleep of course. And still bitter about the miss flight. But the two girls were very nice. We talked a lot while waiting. And that was make me excited about the beginning of my journey. I thought they were to be my buddy’s while in Chiang Mai but they also have to go to Indonesia right away. In the end I got no thai buddy’s sadly. We have to find our own friends. Just like we have to find our own partners obviously.
It’s my first time to be in Chiang Mai, Thailand. And I got placed at the international dorm in Chiang Mai Rajabhat University. At first I saw this university I was like fascinated because of the spacious place. So many people there, and all people here busy with their own project. That means the students here are active. I like this kind of vibes that give me feeling to be motivated about my days here.
My friend and I got to be stayed at 5th floor. We can use the elevator to get there or up the stairs.

This is our room, the facilities is quiet complete. There is air conditionair, two beds, one bath room with water heater, sink inside the bath room, dressing table, television, refrigerator, two big cup boards, and a balcon.
Its pretty comfortable to live here for one month. I admit it.
The most favorite place in this room is the balcon. Because through it i can see some of the beautiful of Chiang Mai from above. I can see the hill of Chiang Mai from it. Also see some students of CMRU doing physical activities in the sports column i think i dont know its name:)
